The briefs here run wide — family homes in Bani Park and Civil Lines, farmhouse builds on the city’s edge, workspaces, boutique hospitality and institutional campuses. What they share is a client who wants the room to feel calm rather than loud, and who has usually seen enough marble-and-gold interiors to want the opposite.
The climate is hot and dry with a short violent monsoon, and it dictates the palette. Araish and lime plaster breathe and stay cool to the touch where sealed paint traps heat and blisters. Local stone — Dholpur, Kota, sandstone — is quarried close enough to be honest rather than imported. Jaali screens are not ornament here; they are how you get light and cross-ventilation without the afternoon glare. Deep reveals, shaded courtyards and planted interiors do more for comfort than any amount of cooling.
Being local changes the process. We can walk a site at three different hours to see how the light moves before committing a plan. Artisans can be briefed in person and samples reworked on the spot. Procurement and site supervision are handled by the same people who drew the room, so nothing is lost in a handover.
Drawing and coordination at NYKS is moving onto BIM. The project is modelled in three dimensions and resolved before it is built — joinery against services, structure against finishes — with quantities taken from the model rather than estimated. On a turnkey job in Jaipur that is what keeps the site free of expensive surprises.

Where a project needs them, we bring in specialists by niche — a landscape designer when the garden is part of the architecture, a lighting designer when the room depends on how it is lit, MEP consultants so services are engineered rather than accommodated, and IT and AV consultants where the space has to be genuinely intelligent. Their work is coordinated in BIM against ours, so everything agrees on the drawing before it has to agree on site.

Breathable lime-based finishes such as araish, locally quarried stone, solid timber, cane and hand-forged metal. Jaali screens and deep reveals manage glare and ventilation. Sealed synthetic finishes tend to trap heat and fail faster in the dry-hot cycle.
Yes. We often come in alongside an existing architect or PMC. What we do not do is styling-only engagements — we design and we deliver.
